Safe Space Retreat

A weekend getaway filled with activities in crafts, self-care both mentally and physically curated by Safe Space Malaysia.

 
 

ACTIVITIES

Every year, the Safe Space team curates different activities to accommodate the guests’ mind, body and soul. Here are some activities/workshops the team has hosted in the past.

Crafts & Painting Workshop

Every year, there’s at least one expressional painting workshop hosted by Co-Founder, Sharina Shahrin. Sharina hosts this fun, freeing and creative workshop to encourage guests to express themselves in colour. Whether it be expression on canvas, paper or Vans Shoes, Sharina facilitates discussions and reflections that encourages honest sharing and friendly group communication.

Make Up Workshop

Hosted by professional Make Up Artist and pioneer Safe Space Retreat Guest, Neesa Abdullah, the guests to dive into the art of beauty. Neesa workshopped using make up to express their inner beauty, enhance confidence and indulge in self-love.

Smoothie Bowl Workshop

Hosted by our Fitness Guru, Nadira Hamdan, the women learnt how to make their own, nutritious and vegan smoothie bowls to encourage loving your bodies from the inside out!

Hand Lettering Workshop

Dianne Lim, musician and graphics extraordinaire hosted a Hand Lettering Workshop to get the ladies’ minds and hands tugging away at their motor skills.

Fitness Workshop

Our mental health is supported by our bodies. Also hosted by our Fitness Guru, Nadira Hamdan, Nadira teaches the ladies how to tackle specific parts of their physique with easy to follow Do-It-At-Home routines.

Sharing Circle

Hosted by Annatasha, the girls have a secure and protected sharing circle session to get in touch emotionally with the other guests and themselves.

 

ACCOMMODATION

In the past, our Safe Space Retreats have been hosted in this beautiful 5 bedroom, 10 bed, 4 bathroom home sponsored by Yayasan Seni Berdaftar. The home is tucked in luscious green trees in the chilly, cosy area of Awana, Genting in Pahang. The gorgeous serene surroundings are perfect to encourage ultimate tranquility in our participants. The home is also secure with 24 hour security to ensure the ladies are safe and protected.

Host A Workshop

Host a workshop with us over the retreat! It can be a craft, a physical activity, meditation circle, anything at all! All workshop hosts will receive free room & board as well as a small token of appreciation for your contribution.

Over the past few retreats we have received generous sponsored goods from brands such as Vans Off The Wall, Urban Decay and Staedtler. Any goods such as craft/workshop supplies to door gifts or even meal plans are much appreciated!
